Christmas is coming! Ludlow Town Council staff are busy preparing the town for the arrival of Santa Clause on Saturday 25th November 2017.
The Christmas tree arrived as usual on the Tuesday after Remembrance Sunday; and Ludlow’s twinkling Christmas lights are going up in the town centre.
Santa will arrive at 2pm with the Christmas drawing competition winner in his reindeer pulled sleigh.
Santa will give away free presents to the lucky boys and girls who see him in his grotto on Events Square outside Ludlow Castle from 2pm – 4pm on Saturday 25th November 2017.
Entertainment includes Ludlow Concert Band playing festive music between 1-2pm, followed by Christmas Carols from local choirs. Plus there will be face painting and glitter tattoos, singing and fun. And a very special visit from colourful children’s characters who recently starred in their own film – can you guess who they might be?
Sunshine Radio bus and team will provide music and fun throughout the afternoon. Special guests from Ludlow Assembly Room’s pantomime Cinderella will drop by to say hello!
Please remember Santa leaves at 4pm prompt as he is very busy in the lead up to Christmas!
Ludlow’s Christmas Lights will be turned on by Mayor of Ludlow, Cllr Tim Gill at 5pm – remember to warm your voice up for the loudest countdown ever!
After the town lights switch-on, there will be a torch lit procession to Castle Gardens for the switched on Ludlow’s Rotary Club Tree of Light with carols from Bella Acapella.
