Developers have submitted plans to build up to 120 homes in Bromyard.
Gladman Developments Limited have asked permission to place the new housing estate on land at Flaggoner’s Green in Bromyard.
The almost 12-acre site is made up of fields situated south of the A44 Worcester Road, west of Panniers Lane, east of Chanctonbury and north of Pencombe Lane.
Architects working on the scheme say the proposal will include 2.8 acres of open green space.
They propose vehicle access to the site to be from the A44 with an improved pedestrian link between the site and Flaggoner’s Green.
The development is expected to consist mainly of market family houses with 40% of the total being affordable homes.
The consultants say the homes will be designed to reinforce and enhance the traditional character and appearance of the town.
The properties will mostly be of two storeys in height with some of two and half storeys with dormers in pitched roofs.
Residents have until February 14 to comment on the proposals which Herefordshire Council is expected to consider by April 12.
