Herefordshire: Changes to trade waste services

Businesses who have ceased trading in Herefordshire are being asked to get in touch with the council regarding waste collections.

A spokesperson for Herefordshire Council told Sunshine Radio News: "We are continuing to collect waste from our trade waste customers at present but would like to make all of our trade bin customers aware of options available to them should they have to cease trading during the outbreak or scale down operations."

"If you have had to cease trading please contact us to suspend your service. We will happily leave your bin on site while the service is suspended and await your instruction to recommence collections once you are ready to start trading again. No charges will be made while the service is suspended and we will discuss with you how to process any credits that this may leave on your account."

"If you have scaled down your operations during the outbreak and therefore require less waste to be collected, please contact us and we can discuss ways in which we can reduce your service and the costs for the duration of the outbreak."

"If you are currently still trading as normal, but are worried how the outbreak is going to affect your business in the near future, please contact us to discuss changing your payment frequency to lessen the impact on your finances during this period."

If you use Herefordshire Council's (blue) trade sack service, please note that for the time being your collections will continue as normal.

If you need to discuss your service, please call 01432 260051, tradewaste@herefordshire.gov.uk or complete our contact form.
