Signs planned for a new Hereford “retirement village” reveal it will have facilities for the wider public.

The Cathedral Park Retirement Village, being built by developer Vistry Partnerships for Platform Housing Group within the extensive Holmer West development area between the A49 and A4103 Roman Road north of the city, is nearing completion.

Now a planning application (number 242607) by Vistry is seeking permission to put up three entrance panel signs at key spots around it.

These announce that within it a café, shop and hairdressers, and a room available for hire, will be open to the public.

Work began on the £20-million development in April 2022, though it was only officially named in November last year.

Platform is currently advertising two-bedroom apartments within the development for a monthly rental of £1,352, “ready for occupation in early 2025”.
