A man accused of murdering 33-year-old Robert Eacock has admitted killing the Hereford father but denies murdering him.
Anthony Boyd from Willenhall has pleaded not guilty to murder but guilty of manslaughter.
The 23-year-old appeared at Worcester Crown Court yesterday.
Boyd and 31-year-old Artaf Hussain from Tipton are both on trial for murdering Robert Eacock in Hereford in January this year.
Mr Eacock died in hospital from a single stab wound following the attack in Commercial Street.
The trial is expected to last for three weeks.
