Each local commercial radio station in the UK has requirements in respect of its music and local content, such as news, speech levels etc. These requirements are set out in the station "Format", a document issued by Ofcom, the UK’s radio regulator.

Operational Information

Transmission: Sunshine Radio is available on 106.2FM in Hereford, 107FM in Monmouth, 107.8 FM in Abergavenny, 105.9FM and 107.8FM in Ludlow and surroundign areas. Sunshine Radio is also broadcast on the Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire DAB Multiplex.

News

Sunshine Radio broadcasts news bulletins from 7am to 6pm on weekdays and 7am to 2pm on weekends. These bulletins contain a mix of local, national and world stories, along with sport, weather and entertainment news. 

Additional bulletins will be added in light of breaking news. Local travel information is broadcast between 6am to 9am and 4pm to 6pm Monday to Friday.

Making a complaint:

Station Format

All of our programming is produced and presented locally from our studios in Ludlow. Sunshine Radio automates some aspects of programming using computer technology. There is automation between 6pm and 6am Monday - Friday,  2pm on Saturday until 8am Sunday and 12pm Sunday until 6am Monday.
