A Worcester dentist is looking to expand under new plans.

St Peters Dental Practice has submitted a planning application which would see a new extension built at the surgery in Norton Close off Bath Road in Worcester.

If approved, the work would increase the number of surgeries from four to five as well as provide other new facilities including a new consulting room, staff room and disabled toilet.

The application said another storey would be added to an existing extension with the rest of the building expanded to make more space.

“The proposed development has minimal impact on the existing buildings around the property and routes to the property with much remaining as existing,” the application said.

“The major impact of the proposed extension is felt in the interior of the practice with improved flow, the addition of new services the practice will offer and improved patient experience and usability.”

Highways officers at Worcestershire County Council have for the plan to be deferred so more information can be provided by the dental practice on its parking plans.

Whilst the application said “ample” parking is provided, the council said it wants to see proof before a decision can be made.

No comments or objections were made to Worcester City Council during public consultation on the application.
