#ExploreNewent 2026 Community Day

Join us at Newent Lake for a free Community Picnic as we bring our community together over shared food and good company.
Pre-order your free wrap now (pre-order required for catering purposes, max 200 spaces). Alternatively, bring your own picnic - either way, bring a blanket and come celebrate with us!
Enjoy live background entertainment, pickup sports and outdoor games, nature walks, a teddy bear picnic for little ones (bring your teddy!), plus fairground rides and an ice-cream van. The perfect setting for conversation and connection whether you come with friends, family, or on your own.
But the fun starts long before 4pm… The Community Picnic is the grand finale of a full day exploring Newent:
• Mend & Repair Café (10am - 1pm) - Bring items in need of repair and let volunteers work their magic while you relax with tea and cake, or have a walk around town.
• Town & Country Market (10am - 2pm) - Browse local produce and artisan goods at the monthly Town & Country Market in the historic market square.
• The Shambles (10am - 4pm) - Explore Newent's creative quarter of independent shops and galleries - with outdoor games and live artist demonstrations on the day.
• Newent Driveways (10am - 4pm) - Hunt for gems along the annual yard sale trail - pre-loved finds and handmade goods - on doorsteps across town.
