Reform won three seats across the city and the Greens took four on a bad day for the Conservatives.

Labour held their two seats on Worcestershire County Council and the Lib Dems saw their only Worcester county councillor returned to county hall.

The Green Party’s Tor Pingree delivered the shock of the day, defeating council leader Simon Geraghty in the Riverside division.

She won 1,280 votes to oust the long-serving Conservative councillor, who finished on 726.

Former city mayor Louis Stephen was the other Green candidate to take a seat from the Tories.

He won 1,639 votes in St Peter’s, with Reform’s Paul Hickling finishing second on 758.

The Tories’ Tom Wisniewski was beaten into third place in the division previously held by Steve Mackay.

Andrew Cross held onto his seat in Warndon Villages with 1,342 votes. Reform again took second place with Connor Smith on 684.

Matt Jenkins won 1,678 votes to be re-elected in St Stephen, with Reform’s Paul Brooker finishing second in the voting on 541.

Alan Amos held his Bedwardine seat with 1,182 votes to 678 for Labour’s Matt Lamb. With Cllr Amos having recently moved parties, the seat is a Reform gain from the Conservatives.

Former Tory city councillor Owen Cleary took the Warndon & Elbury Park seat for Reform, winning 866 votes to 440 for Labour’s Jill Desayrah.
James Stanley, looking to hold the seat for the Tories, was beaten into third place on 233 votes.

It was a similar story in Nunnery, with Dave Aubrey taking the seat for Reform by 718 to 664 for Labour’s Bash Ali.

Former mayor and Tory stalwart Allah Ditta finished third on 548 votes.

Richard Udall held his St John’s seat for Labour, by 892 votes to 570 for Martin Hewlett of Reform.

And Labour held the newly-named Rainbow Hill and Fort Royal division, with another former mayor Jabba Riaz replacing his party colleague Lynn Denham on the county council.

Cllr Riaz won 794 votes to 768 for the Green Party’s Clare Wratten.

Mel Allcott continued the Lib Dems’ dominance in Claines, holding her seat by 1,656 votes to 564 for Reform’s Martin Williams.
