Police have made an arrest following a collision.

Around 9.20pm last night (Sunday 7 August) we received a report that a vehicle had mounted the kerb and collided with a 15-year-old boy.

A 27-year-old man from Wythall has been arrested.

The incident took place near the One Stop on Drakes Cross Parade, Hollywood, Birmingham.

The boy was taken to Birmingham Children’s Hospital with injuries that were believed to be minor.

After a search of the area a vehicle was located and seized for forensic examination.

Inspector David Evans said: “We have a male in custody and our enquiries are ongoing. Officers remain in the area and additional patrols are being carried out to offer reassurance to the local community.

“If anyone was in the area at the time and saw the incident, we would ask them to get in contact with us.”
